21st Century Learning

21st Century Learning

Friday I attended an Apple Roadshow, which highlighted best practices in a one-to-one environment and was reminded of the Partnership for 21st Century Skills. A while back I looked at this site, but never really spent any time with it. One of the resources they have put together is Route 21. Route 21 contains ideas and materials for implementing new skills and tools into regular classroom instruction. It is well worth a look, there are many good and practical suggestions for educators.

One of the things I noticed is that my home state of Massachusetts is listed as a 21st Century State. Clicking through the information on the State’s commitment to these skills I wonder if I live and work in the same place. But that is a post for another day.

Another resource I was reminded of was the Apple Learning Interchange, a collaborative network of teachers sharing lessons, ideas and resources. If you have some time it too is worth a look.
