Edublog Award Nominations are now Open

Nominations for the 2010 Edublog Awards are open.  It is chance to recognize the time, effort and contributions made by those we learn from and with.  I am taking the opportunity to recognize some of the people and communities that have made an impact on my learning and thinking and have challenged me to be a better educator. There are variety a categories, for the full list see the Edublog Awards homepage. I have spent the better part of the day going through my readers to try to select my nominees.  This has not been easy some fit more then one category and there are many that I would like to nominate.  I could spend hours more but need to just decide so here are my nominees.

Best individual blog:  Pair-a- dimes for your thoughts – David Truss
Best group blog:  The Infinite Thinking Machine
Best resource sharing blog:  Around the Corner –  Miguel Guhlin
Most influential tweet / series of tweets / tweet based discussion: #Edchat and the partner wiki
Best school administrator blog:  Connected Principals
Best educational webinar series:  Classroom 2.0 Live
Best educational use of a social network:  UDL4All
Lifetime achievement: Moving at the Speed of Creativity – Wesley Fryer

I encourage you to nominate your favorite blogs.  I love looking through the nominee and the award winner lists.  It is a great way to find new reading material and expand your PLN.   Nominations close Friday Dec 3. To nominate some one please follow the directions below provided by the Edublog awards.

Step 1: Write a post on your blog linking to:
•    The Edublog Awards Homepage
•    The blogs & sites that you want to nominate (must be linked to!)

You can nominate:
1.    For as many categories as you like,
2.    But only one nomination per category,
3.    A blog (or site) for more than one category
4.    Any blog or site you like but not your own blogs (sites)

Step 2: Email the link to your nomination post
Use the form on the Edublog Awards Homepage to contact us, please include a genuine email address (spam free, just in case we need to confirm identity) and the link to your nominations post.

    I’m truly honoured! ‘We’ put a lot of time, effort and love into our blogs and to me the nominations are a chance to share what we like, and to learn from each other. I just signed up for UDL4All, thanks for pointing the way!

    Like you I’m going to have a very tough time choosing this year. I’m glad to see Connected Principals on your list. As a contributing member I would feel a bit funny nominating it, but I’ve found it an amazing place to learn, and consider many of the contributors my mentors, though I’ve never met them face to face.
