A Tool it just a Tool

A Tool it just a Tool

I have been following a few conversations recently that have focused on the negative aspects of technology and it disturbs me.  The belief is that technology causes people to be withdrawn, anti-social and isolated.  That technology gives people the freedom to bully, lash out, and lie therefore more of that behavior occurs. This is glass half empty thinking. Technology can be enriching, allowing communication and collaboration where it was not possible before. It can  be perceived as isolating when we…

Introduction to eBooks and eReaders

Introduction to eBooks and eReaders

Our iPads arrived mid May and our mini research project has begun.  First the iPads were shared with the Tech Team for about a week.  If we were going to support them it would be good if we actually tried them.  Next they were delivered to an elementary school for 2 weeks. Today they head to the…

A Good Diagraming Tool

A Good Diagraming Tool

I have been playing around with Lovely Charts.  I need to make a few organizational charts and decided to try the free version of the tool.  It really is pretty easy to use, so far it is doing what I need it to do.  I like tools that do not require a steep learning curve.
