Today I had the wonderful opportunity to help twenty four k-12 teachers from Plymouth Public Schools enter Second Life. These teachers are part of the Lighthouse Learning project. It is was so much fun to see them be so willing to try something so different. I think they are off to a great start. The Discovery Educator Network officially opened its doors in Second Life. There were up to 63 avatars an any one time at the event, I guess maybe 100 people came through the DEN that evening. Many people were new to Second life. It is wonderful to see educators stretching themselves into new areas, expanding their learning networks and having fun.
