Thank you Fleet!

I would like to echo KJ’s comment regarding our Second Life landlord, Fleet Goldenberg of Squirrlverse. I had only recently arrived in SL and was searching for a place to call home. Fleet was a great help in me getting started, he patiently answered many newbie questions and he continues to be very supportive and responsive. As a member of the DEN in SL, he has been present at many of our functions assuring that all is well. He is…

My Changing Look in Second Life

My Changing Look in Second Life

I have been involved in Second Life since early April 2007 just a short 7 months and I have enjoyed every minute of it. The DEN in SL is also celebrating a 6 month anniversary. Plymouth Teachers Enter Second Life

Plymouth Teachers Enter Second Life

Today I had the wonderful opportunity to help twenty four k-12 teachers from Plymouth Public Schools enter Second Life. These teachers are part of the Lighthouse Learning project. It is was so much fun to see them be so willing to try something so different. I think they are off to a great start. So if you meet some new people roaming around the education islands please be kind and offer a helping hand. Technical note: SL eventually stopped participants…

The Grand Gala

The Grand Gala

The Discovery Educator Network officially opened its doors in Second Life. There were up to 63 avatars an any one time at the event, I guess maybe 100 people came through the DEN that evening. Many people were new to Second life. It is wonderful to see educators stretching themselves into new areas, expanding their learning networks and having fun. Many others have blogged about the event and I suggest you read their reviews. Looking forward to getting the next…
