Barnstable and Plymouth Public Schools will be hosting a few learning opportunities on Second Life in the next couple of months. Julia Colby (SL-JuliaAnn Mills) and I will be your facilitators. These sessions are open to all educators in Second Life. We will meet at the Lighthouse Learning Island Teleport hub, near the calendar at the Lighthouse. Plymouth Teachers Enter Second Life

Today I had the wonderful opportunity to help twenty four k-12 teachers from Plymouth Public Schools enter Second Life. These teachers are part of the Lighthouse Learning project. It is was so much fun to see them be so willing to try something so different. I think they are off to a great start. I have been exploring Second Life for the last 4 months, it seems much longer than that. During this time I have built up a network of friends and colleagues, attended many wonderful presentations, began volunteering at the DEN and hanging out at the Blogger’s cafe.
