Twitter – finally!
Well I finally think I have time to give twitter a go. Lets see if I can keep it up and get into the habit. Now I need to develope a friends list, and learn all the ins and outs. I love summer time to play and explore.

I have been asked to develop a curriculum for a 40 hour course addressing Universal Design in Learning and Assistive Technology. The course is to address the basic principals of the two concepts, what they are, what they are not and examples of best practices. When it comes to providing an on-line component for professional development in my district we have been using Moodle and wikispaces and Google groups. Depending on the length of the professional development or proficiency of users these tools have served us well. But I have been taking a look at Ning as an option. The Discovery Educator Network (DEN) is setting up shop in SecondLife. The DEN is about teachers connecting with teachers to collaborate and share best practices. It is the end of the school year and we are about to enter the no-mans land of summer. As a student and educator my year only seems to last from September to June. July and August are not really part of my calendar year.
