I am moving into a new office space next week.\u00a0 It is a pretty nice space and has\u00a0 windows.\u00a0 I have been without a window for 5 years, at least now I’ll know if it is day or night.\u00a0 The office has been freshly painted and when confronted with all the wall space I was wondering how to decorate.\u00a0 What do you hang on the wall? What will inspire me when I feel the job is impossible and what will inspire others as they come in and out of the office?<\/p>\n
I was thinking about what I see in other offices.\u00a0 The only offices I visit are those of Doctors and Educators.\u00a0 Doctors have diplomas and certificates on their walls and well Educators do not.\u00a0 Why is that?\u00a0 If we want our students and fellow educators to peruse further education should we not honor our own accomplishments and display the diplomas, certificates and awards we have achieved.\u00a0 I have not done this as I have not really had my own space in a while. But why did I not do it in my\u00a0 classroom?
\nI wonder if I have not done so because I think there is more to learning then formal education. Maybe it is because I am slightly embarrassed when my schooling is brought up. Or maybe I am too lazy to move them from my home office to school.<\/p>\n
