{"id":844,"date":"2010-08-27T19:04:23","date_gmt":"2010-08-28T00:04:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bethknittle.net\/WP_Blog\/?p=844"},"modified":"2010-08-27T19:04:23","modified_gmt":"2010-08-28T00:04:23","slug":"drive-by-rant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.bethknittle.net\/WP_Blog\/?p=844","title":{"rendered":"Drive by Rant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am such a door mat.<\/p>\n<p>My daughter and I just had dinner in a restaurant where the tables are way too close together.\u00a0 The women at the adjacent table was loudly berating teachers.\u00a0 In her opinion it was a women&#8217;s job and really those women who become teachers do it because it is an easy job and they can still spend lots of time with their kids.\u00a0 Teaching is a job for women who just can&#8217;t commit to being a stay at home mom.<\/p>\n<p>I am shocked by these statements until her dinning companion mentions there are lots of male teachers.\u00a0 She responds that these are just men with out any back bone who could not take it in the cooperate world so they teach this way they can feel like they are the head of something.<\/p>\n<p>And I just sit there.\u00a0 I could not even begin to come up with a comment or response.<\/p>\n<p>What would you do?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am such a door mat.
