I thought it was time to give you an update. Our iPads arrived mid May and our mini research project has begun.\u00a0 First the iPads were shared with the Tech Team for about a week.\u00a0 If we were going to support them it would be good if we actually tried them.\u00a0 Next they were delivered to an elementary school for 2 weeks. Today they head to the intermediate school for 2 weeks and the last 3 days will be in a classroom at the HS.\u00a0 Each teacher who uses one will complete a survey. I wish they had arrived earlier so we could have a longer time with them before school year is finished.<\/p>\n<p>Teachers are a very creative and innovative group and their input will be invaluable as we decided if\/how we would use these in our classrooms to support student learning. This time also gives us a chance to work out solutions for syncing and purchasing apps. We also need to look at storage, charging solutions and cases.\u00a0 It is not just acquiring the tech but working out how to use, support and maintain the tools so they can be effective.\u00a0 I am looking forward to reading the survey results in a few weeks.<\/p>\n<p>More later&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In March I wrote about looking at the soon to be released iPads.
