There were about 25 people in attendance &#8211; standing room only.  I was very impressed by the work that she, SL volunteers and her fellow teachers have done. Creating a virtual learning environment for 8th grade students at her middle school.  I think I am more impressed that a school board agreed to the project.  (There is hope after all.)  I highly recommend reading<a href=\"http:\/\/rampoislands.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> her blog<\/a> for all the details.<\/p>\n<p>I am still feeling my way around here and am learning more each time.  I have met some terrific people and am really enjoying the collaborative and intellectual atmosphere.  I wonder how long it will be before I join others and create an island of our own?  What would we do there, what would our purpose be?
